Just a Note

Hello crafty friends! So happy to see you here again. I have a super simple and fun card today that’s happy mail themed, which is just great for any occasion.

For this card I’m starting out by stamping this Mail Jumble background stamp from Hero Arts onto Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock in Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossing it with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder. I’m using my Misti to stamp this out which just makes everything easier. Next I cut a panel of Mondi Color Copy 300 gsm cardstock to A2 size.

I used a die by Craft Sensations to cut a window from that panel centering it at the top of the card. I then put that in my Misti and stamp the sentiment underneath the window in Versafine Onyx Black ink and emboss it just the same as I did with the background stamp. I cut the background piece to be slightly larger than 8 x 8 cm so it would definitely cover all of my window. I then colored everything in and added a quick dropshadow with cool grey markers besides two sides of each image.

To put this card together I adhered the background piece to my A2 topfolding cardbase with double sided tape. I then used foam tape to prop up the window panel. As a finishing touch I added a couple of Nuvo Crystal drops in Ivory Seashell.

That finishes up this card! Please let me know if you have any questions. Make sure to follow me on Instagram, I post almost every day and it’s where I interact most with people. On Pinterest I have all my cards sorted by occassion, by stamp company, and by coloring technique for easy browsing! You can find my socials at the top and bottom of each post and page.
