Wish Upon A Dandelion

Hi crafty friends! I have another clean and simple no-line coloring card to share with you today. In today’s video I’m sharing how to color light and shadows in watercolor.

For this card I started out with a die cut panel of Canson Montval 200 gsm watercolor cardstock, cut with the Deco Oval Frame die by Mama Elephant. I then stamped the bunny from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set on there with InkOn3 Fade Out ink and then stamped it again onto a full stick post-it note to make a mask of the image.

I then used my Mijello Mission Gold paints to color in the image. If you want to learn more of the coloring process, please watch the video linked below where I explain it all in detail. I then blended the background with various inks from Pinkfresh Studio and Concord & 9th and the final black ink I used was Versafine Onyx Black. Yes, you can absolutely use this for blending, just be careful, it dries extremely slowly and will smudge!

I added details with white gelpen and then assembled the card with a dark blue frame (same die from Mama Elephant as before) glued directly onto the cardbase and the painted panel propped up on foam tape.

That finishes up this card! Please let me know if you have any questions. Make sure to follow me on Instagram, I post a new card every day! And subscribe to me on YouTube for video tutorials. In the supply list you can find all the products I used. Where possible I’ve used affiliate links. If you choose to purchase through these links, I will make a small (5 – 10%) commission to no extra cost to you. This helps me out a ton!
